Vitamin K is fat soluble vitamin. It is two types, first one is phylloquinone which is obtained from green leafy vegetables and second one is menaquinones which is obtained from animals meat and eggs. Some bacteria present in your intestine also produce small amount of another type of vitamin K.

It’s function in our body to clotting the blood and helping wounds to heal fastly. The diseases due to deficiency of vitamin K is hemorrhage. In this case blood take more time to clotting or more bleeding.
